Plantomics | Abiotec stress effect on plant proteomics and metabolomics
The constant global increase in human population and its impact on food security, as well as the the effect of climate change, especially factors such as light irradiation and temperature, demands studying the effect of abiotec stress on plants. This would allow to develop strategies with the aim of cultivating high nutrional content plants under non ideal conditions.
This project aims to study the effect of abiotic stress such as drought and light on proteomics and metabolomics of plants.
During this project your responsabilities will be:
- Green house set up
- Plant cultuvation and monitoring
- Plant harvesting
- Antoxidant studies
- Protein determination
- Aminoacid analysis
- Metabolite and protein extraction
- Sample preparation for mass spectrometry analysis
- Data analysis of proteomics and metabolomics
